April Fools Buns

Another way to please your kids and provide them with vitamins. The idea came to me suddenly when I was thinking about how to play the house on April 1st in a kind way. And here it is! Ordinary-looking buns, once you bite into them, surprise and cause a smile: can you eat this? Perhaps the idea will come in handy for another reason. Of course, food dyes are not very useful, but let them cheer you up at least once a year!

We prepare any pastry for buns. I used this recipe:
Buns with sugar for breakfast .

Mixed green and ruby dyes into part of the dough. Soaked dried apricots and got down to business.
I wrap dried apricots in red, then in green, then all this in ordinary dough. I bake unremarkable pies in the oven.
Of course, several barrels have treacherously cracked, showing an unusual color from the inside, so I generously pour icing sugar over them and decorate them with colored confectionery sprinkles.
If you break it, then the color is simply amazing - red-green-orange (from dried apricots), the main thing in this is not to puncture in advance and hide your creation until the right moment.
That's all, and on April Fools' Day, the husband and son received a pie for a "dog". With a note that IT is edible. The rest of the buns will also find their guest. :)
