Monastic hut cake with condensed milk

Indescribably delicious cake! Try it for sure! "The monastery hut" is a familiar, delicious and beloved cake. Many variations have been invented with stuffing, as well as with the type of dough: it can be layered, and soft, and crumbly. I think this recipe is the most successful. "The logs" turn out to be thin - this gives more taste not to the dough, but to the filling and cream. I advise everyone!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 15 h 30 min

First, we defrost the cherries, let the excess juice drain, and for this we put the berries on a sieve. We leave it for a while.

Prepare the dough. In a deep bowl, rub the softened margarine with sugar, add sour cream, flour and soda, vanilla, salt, and knead. The dough turns out to be tight, steep. We send it to the refrigerator for an hour.

We take out the dough, divide it into 3 parts, then each part into 6 more parts. As a result, we should get 18 logs. Roll out each part into a rectangle, about 30 by 7 cm (you need to roll out the dough very thinly - 2-3 mm).

Mix the cherries with sugar, spread them on rectangles, pinch the edges and place (not tightly to each other) the blanks on a baking sheet covered with parchment.

Bake at a temperature of 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, until the logs are browned.

Put the butter in a bowl, add condensed milk, stir until smooth and smooth.

Assemble the cake:
- lay out the first layer (it should consist of 6 logs), lubricate with cream;
- thus we assemble the entire structure in the shape of a pyramid (the second layer is 5 logs, the third layer is 4, and so on to the top with 1 log).

This cake needs long-term impregnation, so it should be left in the refrigerator overnight.

Delicious "Monastery hut" ready!
