It's no secret for a long time that when cooking potatoes in water, most of the nutrients are lost. To prevent this from happening, it is best to cook potatoes for a couple. The ideal option would be steaming potatoes in a steamer or a slow cooker, but considering that not everyone has them, we will cook in the most usual "grandfather's" way, which this recipe offers us.

Instead of dill and parsley, you can use a couple of sprigs of rosemary and thyme, adding them to the potatoes during cooking. The smell of these herbs will give piquancy to our dish.

Steamed potatoes are perfect for mashed potatoes or toppings for pies.

Root vegetables are best washed with a brush or a stiff sponge under running water.
