This is a culinary recipe for a dish that can be used as an appetizer or as a snack. Italian food is always distinguished by its piquancy and unpredictability. This dish is a vivid example of that.
Pour milk into a small saucepan, heat a little and add yeast. Stir and leave for 10-15 minutes.
If you have a food processor or other device for kneading dough, take a bowl from it and put in it wheat and corn flour, half a cup of sugar, egg yolks, butter, vanilla extract and salt. Pour milk with yeast into it. Now the dough needs to be whipped for 5 minutes. The sugar should completely dissolve, and all the sourdough should become homogeneous and lush.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the rest of the sugar. We need to get a homogeneous mass. When finished, pour this mixture into the brew and mix it again. After that, pour the dough into a separate bowl, cover it with a lid and put it in a warm place for 2 hours so that the dough can rise.
When the dough is ready, we will mold small balls out of it. Prepare a deep fryer or just a saucepan, in which we add the right amount of vegetable oil. In the heated oil, fry the balls in batches of several pieces. A sign of readiness is the golden color of the ball. We put the finished balls on a dish with paper napkins so that the excess oil is absorbed.
Serve this dish hot or warm. Cornmeal balls are ready. Enjoy your meal.
