Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 25 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make creamy garlic sauce? First of all, prepare all the products for making the sauce.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

The recipe for making cream sauce with garlic, of course, requires the direct use of garlic. Therefore, take a head of garlic, separate a couple of cloves from it. Peel them, then crush them with the back of a knife and finely chop the crushed cloves with the same knife. If you want to simplify the task and speed up the process, then you can chop garlic by squeezing the cloves through a garlic press.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Now take a frying pan with a thick bottom (it should be dry and low-fat, so you need to wash it thoroughly before using it) and put a piece of butter and finely chopped garlic in it. Turn on a small fire and fry the products, constantly stirring them and bringing the garlic to softness, preventing it from browning – it should become almost transparent.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

It will take about a minute. In no case should there be a burning smell when frying garlic (this usually happens with high heat), this will subsequently spoil the whole sauce. Only garlic flavor should be felt.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Then pour milk cream into the pan, pepper and salt the future sauce, season with nutmeg, stirring (so that the cream does not burn), continue cooking the sauce over low heat, bringing it to thickening and getting a homogeneous consistency. This will take about 7-10 minutes. Please note that its density depends on how much you will cook the sauce. So, it can turn out to be thin or even quite thick.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

After this time, remove the pan with the sauce immediately from the heat. Cool the prepared sauce.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Serve creamy garlic sauce as an addition to appetizers, a hot dish, and use it as a dressing for a vegetable salad.

Note:

In this recipe, the amount of pepper, nutmeg and salt added to the sauce depends on taste preferences, so focus on your taste. I really like the special taste of nutmeg, so I put it more. I add just a little bit of black pepper.

If desired, you can change the recipe by adding your favorite herbs or spices. But personally, I like the classic version of the sauce.

Important! An incorrectly selected frying pan can ruin even the best recipe. All the details on how to choose the perfect frying pan for different dishes read here .

Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).
