    Prepare the specified ingredients. From frozen vegetables, you can take any to your liking, ready-made mixtures of frozen vegetables - Mexican, Italian and others - are also suitable for cooking. I took broccoli, green peas, carrots, bell peppers and string beans. The recipe will also require broth - it can be meat broth, vegetable broth, diced broth or just hot water. It is preferable to take steamed rice, I have long-grain.

    To cook rice with vegetables, take a deep frying pan or a saucepan with a thick bottom /saucepan. The dishes should be with a lid. Pour vegetable oil into the pan and heat the pan over high heat. Peel the onion from the husk and finely chop. You can also use garlic instead of onions. In preheated oil, fry the chopped onion for a few minutes until transparent.

    Put frozen vegetables in a frying pan with onions and fry them over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally. If the frozen vegetables are too large, then it is better to cut them smaller before frying, without defrosting.

    Add rice, salt, pepper to the vegetables in the pan (you can also add your favorite spices) and continue to fry the rice with vegetables for 2 minutes, stirring. Thanks to frying rice with vegetables, the rice will remain soft but crumbly after cooking.

    Pour broth or hot water to the rice with vegetables, stir and cover the pan with a lid. Cook rice with vegetables under a lid on low heat for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is ready.

    Serve ready-made rice with frozen vegetables hot. This dish can act as an independent one, or it can become a side dish for meat, chicken or semi-finished products.

Rice with vegetables turned out to be crumbly, tasty and satisfying. I really liked this vegetable pilaf for dinner.

Using water in the preparation instead of broth, you can serve such a dish on fast days.
