Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the necessary products. Traditionally, Sprite is used in Mojito, so I advise you to take this sparkling water. The key to a delicious Mojito cocktail is certainly fresh lemon and mint. Now at any time of the year you can find mint in stores and dried mint is also not suitable. Lemon can be replaced with lime. But, despite what kind of citrus fruit you will take, it needs to be washed very well, because the fruit will be used with the peel.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Wash a lemon or lime with very hot water, so the fruit will release more juice and give it to the drink. In principle, to prepare a drink, you can take ready-made lemon or lime juice of factory production. Cut the lemon into half circles. Their thickness should be about 2-3 mm. Mint is also very well washed with warm water and coarsely chopped, you can also just tear it with your hands.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Put the chopped lemon and mint in a bowl, mash with a mortar. You can also rub it with a spoon, fork or a pusher. Our goal is for mint and lemon to give their juice and flavor to the fullest.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put in a serving glass. By the way, it is not necessary to cook Mojito in glasses at once: if you are gathered in a large company, you can make a cocktail in a large decanter or jug.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Fill with sprite. Do not forget to cool it well beforehand! In my opinion, sprite water is sweet enough, but suddenly you have gathered a girlish company of sweet tooths - then you can add sugar to taste.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Last of all, carefully pour in the rum. Rum is a strong enough drink. But you can also use slightly less strong drinks for making Mojitos: vodka, gin, etc. You can add crushed ice to the finished cocktail, but in my opinion, ice is also water and it just dilutes the finished drink. It's better to immediately take a well-chilled sprite and rum.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Serve the cocktail immediately to the table. It refreshes very well, but also quickly intoxicates. Bon appetit!
