Boil and peel the eggs.
Cut the chicken into small pieces. Then dry the pieces.
 Cut the onion into 2 cm pieces, grate the ginger on a fine grater.
Crush the garlic with the flat side of a knife.
 Heat the oil strongly in a wide saucepan, fry the onion, garlic and ginger a little. 
 Put the chicken pieces and fry, stirring, for 3-4 minutes, so that they become slightly golden.
Add a mixture of peppers, star anise, sugar, wine, soy sauce and water. Stir and bring to a boil.
 Put the eggs in the broth, reduce the heat, cover with a lid and cook until the bird is ready for about an hour.
Serve in a deep bowl: chicken pieces in the center, pour sauce over them, spread eggs around.
Serve with white crumbly rice.
