First we cut the rye bread into portions, put it on a baking sheet and place it in a very slightly preheated oven. We are waiting for the bread to be slightly browned and dried.

Now we take a well-washed and dried glass 3-liter jar, put our crackers in it and pour boiling water over the shoulders. Now add 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar and wait until the mass cools down.

Then we take a glass of warm water and pour dry yeast into it. When the water cools down in a 3-liter jar to the temperature of the human body, pour the yeast solution into it and mix. Then we cover the 3-liter jar with our mixture with a lid or saucer and put it in some warm place for two days.

After this time, we take out our jar, remove the lid and carefully filter the resulting kvass through gauze or a sieve. Pour our kvass into a bottle, cool it in the refrigerator.
