Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h

Rinse the meat thoroughly with running water and wipe dry with paper towels. Then mix in a small container all the spices and seasonings necessary for the dish - salt, ground black pepper (preferably freshly ground), dry rosemary and a little thyme powder. You can also add any other spices that are best combined with poultry meat. Mix the resulting mixture well, then rub it thoroughly into the skin of the turkey leg, turning it from all sides.

Peel the onion, rinse and dry. Next, cut the onion into cubes or half rings.

Also rinse the celery stalk under cold water and dry it on a paper towel. And then peel the leaves and cut into small circles.

Turn on the slow cooker in the "Frying" or "Baking" mode, pour oil and fry the already seasoned turkey shanks until golden brown, turning them in different directions. Do not close the lid of the slow cooker at the same time - so the roasting process will happen much faster. The time of frying meat depends on the power of the device itself and the size of the pieces of meat.

As soon as the meat is browned, pour the chopped onion and celery stalk into the bowl of the slow cooker. Pour in the water, mix. And close the slow cooker with a lid. Set the timer of the appliance for an hour and continue cooking meat in the same mode. If the power of the slow cooker is more than 450 watts, it is better to cook the meat for half an hour, and then switch the device to the "Quenching" mode.

After the meat is ready, put it on a plate. Leave the remaining juice in the bowl of the slow cooker. Separately, in a cup, mix corn starch with water until a homogeneous consistency. Pour the resulting mixture into a bowl of multwark and stir with the broth formed there. Select the Cooking mode on the control panel and set the timer for 5-10 minutes depending on the power of the slow cooker.

Turkey drumsticks can be served with any side dish (vegetables, rice, spaghetti), sprinkled with sauce.

Bon appetit!
