Royal salad with squid and shrimp

Elegant presentation and excellent multi-faceted taste. Suitable for a festive table, and for a romantic candlelit dinner. The salad has a pleasant airy consistency, which is achieved due to the fact that the ingredients are rubbed on a fine grater.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Peel the hard-boiled eggs from the shell in advance and grate them on a fine grater. I propose to collect the salad immediately on a serving platter. Put the eggs in the first layer and smear with a small amount of mayonnaise.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Cut the pitted olives into thin rings. Put in one layer on top of the eggs.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Crab sticks (or crab meat) grate on a fine grater and lay out the next layer. Lubricate with a small amount of mayonnaise.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Wash the dill and shake it from the water. Finely chop and lay out the next layer. By the way, if you put the dill layer at the very end, you will get a charming Christmas tree, in my opinion.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Grate the sharp cheese on a fine grater and put it on top of the dill. Lubricate with mayonnaise.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Cleaned squid should be boiled in advance, placing the carcasses in boiling water for a couple of minutes, and cool. Then chop into a small cube.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Squid is the next layer of salad. Top with mayonnaise.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Pre-boil the shrimp in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Peel off the shells. And check for the presence of a dark green stripe on the backs of the esophagus. If it is present, then it must be removed by making an incision along the entire back of the shrimp.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Put the shrimp on top of the mayonnaise (they will hold well). I laid out the whole shrimp, because I am deeply convinced that these unique crustaceans need slicing only as a last resort (that is, almost never). And decorate the salad with red caviar and fresh herbs. The plate must be cleaned with a napkin before serving, if it has managed to get dirty during cooking.

The shape of the salad can be given any to your taste. For this purpose, you can use a round cooking ring. The salad will look especially impressive in the shape of a cube. And for a romantic dinner, I advise you to lay out a heart-shaped salad.
I am almost one hundred percent sure that such a truly royal salad will be able to pleasantly surprise your guests at the festive table.
Bon appetit!
