Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h 35 min

This delicious and creamy pie is prepared in two stages. First we will bake a base of shortbread dough. So...

Stage 1.

Sift the flour into a deep large bowl. Butter, which should be firm, well cooled, three on a coarse grater directly into the flour. Next, pour ice water and knead the dough very quickly. Knead it until smooth, not for long, everything is very fast. After forming a bun from the finished dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and send it to the refrigerator for an hour.

When the specified time has passed, we take the dough out of the refrigerator, remove the film, transfer it to a deep baking dish with a diameter of 24 cm. We form the sides with a height of about 2 cm. Using a fork, we slightly prick the dough evenly along the bottom, remove the form with the dough in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. At this time, turn on the oven to warm up to 200 degrees. After the specified time, we take out the form with the dough and put it in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.

While the base is baking, we prepare the filling.

Stage 2.

Pour water into a small saucepan, put broccoli in it (first you need to sort and wash). We close the pan with a lid, put it on medium heat, bring the liquid in it to a boil. We cook broccoli for 4 minutes, and then we throw it into a colander, rinse it with cool boiled water and leave it to drain the excess liquid. When this happens and the broccoli cools down a little. Cut the broccoli into smaller twigs.

In a large container, mix together eggs, milk, salt and ground black pepper. Stir until smooth, and then add the broccoli. Three cheddar on a grater and also put it in a container, we mix everything.

Remove the base from the oven, reduce the heating to 190 degrees. We put the filling in the base. Cover the mold with a layer of foil and put it in the oven for 35-40 minutes until the filling is baked. It may take more or less time depending on the type of oven. When 25 minutes have passed from the specified time, we remove the foil.

We take out the form with the finished pie from the oven, let it stand for 5 minutes and serve it hot! If there are pieces of cake left after the meal, they can be simply reheated in the microwave later.

Bon appetit!
