Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

I washed the potatoes well from dirt and put them to cook in salted water until ready.Ready potatoes in a uniform, peeled from the skin and grated on a fine grater. I washed the chicken fillet well under running water and put it to cook.Boiled chicken fillet finely chopped.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Put together potatoes grated on a fine grater and finely chopped chicken fillet. To them I added two eggs, 150 g of sifted flour, nutmeg and salt to taste. I mixed all the ingredients well.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

The mixture was laid out on a floured surface and divided into parts so that it was convenient to work with the dough. I rolled out a sausage from each piece of dough and cut it into small pieces. I rolled each piece into a ball and made a hole in the middle with my finger, dipping my finger in flour each time so that the dough would not stick.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Cooked gnocchi in boiling salted water to taste with the addition of vegetable oil, so as not to stick together. Cooked for 1.5-2 minutes until they surfaced. I left the cooked gnocchi in a plate without covering them, so that they dry up a little from the water, this will make it possible to fry them carefully.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

After the gnocchi are cooked, fried to a ruddy, beautiful, golden crust on both sides in vegetable oil in a preheated frying pan. During the frying process, I added a little butter (it gives a nutty taste). Important! Do not immediately turn the gnocchi in the pan, let them brown a little, otherwise they will fall apart.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

After roasting, the gnocchi are ready. Serve them hot. Chicken meat can be safely replaced with any other that you like or replaced with fried mushrooms. After roasting, you can not sprinkle with cheese, but simply season with fried onions. I hope you like them. Bon appetit!

Potato gnocchi are Italian dumplings or lazy dumplings in our way. They are prepared very simply from the most common products. You can cook without eggs and chicken fillet, which will allow you to eat them even in the post.
