Cooking method

Cooking time: 40 min

1. In order for the future compote to turn out delicious and rich, first of all it is necessary to sort out all the cherry plum berries. Spoiled or overripe fruits are perfect as raw materials for jam or jam, and it is better to select elastic and fleshy fruits in compote. Next, they should be thoroughly rinsed of unnecessary dirt and dust under running water and thrown into a colander to get rid of excess moisture.

2. While the cherry plum is drying, you can prepare a container for rolling the future compote. Rinse the glass jars well with baking soda and rinse with hot water. Then turn on the oven at 100-120 degrees Celsius and put the jars upside down on a baking sheet for sterilization. To prevent the cans from bursting, they should be put in a still cold oven and then set the desired temperature. So they will heat up gradually and the risk that they will burst during heating will be significantly lower.
Throw the lids into a small saucepan, pour water and boil for 5 minutes.

3. When the compote container is ready, you can start laying the cherry plum directly. Put the washed and dried berries in a clean jar. In any case, do not crush the berries - they should lie freely, there should be a place for compote in the jar. Then pour the cherry plum with sugar directly into the jar.
Wash the mint sprigs, dry them and put them in a jar with fruit for flavor.

4. Boil clean water and immediately pour boiling water over the cherry plum with sugar in a jar. Then screw the jar with clean lids.

5. Place the rolled-up jars of compote on a hard surface upside down and leave under observation until completely cooled. In the future, they can be removed to a dark, cool place for storage throughout the year.
