Watermelon jam with orange

Exotic jam! Surprise your family and friends! One day an employee gave me an interesting jam to try, I couldn't figure out what it was made of, the only thing that was clear was the presence of citrus flavor. When the mystery was revealed by the hostess, there was no end to my surprise: the jam was made from watermelon crusts! After waiting for August, I still tried to cook a miracle blank on my own, I share the recipe with you!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 d 19 h 10 min

So:

- choose a cooking container, it should be enameled;

- cut off the colored part from the watermelon crusts (we only need a white layer between the crust and the pulp), cut them into cubes;

- fill the prepared crusts with sugar and send them to the stove, bring to a boil, remove from the fire and leave for exactly a day;

- after the right time, we boil the jam again and leave it for 12 hours (there is no need to cook, just brought to a boil and that's it);

- boil the jam for the third time, grate the orange zest (previously my fruit), squeeze out the orange juice and cook for 5 minutes, after which we lay out the fragrant jam in dry sterile jars (do not forget to leave it on trial).

When the jam cools down to room temperature, you can transfer it to storage in the cellar.

Successful culinary experiments to you and all the best)
