I don't like cherries in their pure form. It seems to me too lop-sided for the taste. But I enjoy eating any food prepared with its use. For example, I just love cherry jam with a stone. Now I will tell you about this wonderful culinary recipe in more detail. So, we start by taking a kilogram of whole selected fruits, placing them in a large saucepan or basin, pouring hot syrup from sugar (2 cups of water mixed with 800 grams of sugar and heated until the sugar is completely dissolved) and stand for about 4 hours. After this time, we put our pan (basin) on medium heat, bring to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes. Now we separate the cherry fruits from the syrup and boil them, put them in sugar syrup, add the remaining sugar and cook our jam over low heat until fully cooked. It will take about half an hour. After this time, pour the hot jam into sterilized jars, close the lids and let it cool. The cooled jam can be consumed the very next day after cooking.
