Borscht is prepared in different ways not only in Russia and Ukraine, but also in certain regions of both countries. If you have never cooked Kiev borscht, I strongly recommend doing this, because the taste sensations are new and extremely pleasant. I watched a real cooking recipe on one TV channel, it seemed so curious to me that I immediately tried it on family members. Now I'm sharing it with you.
Here's the first curiosity for you: we cook beef in water diluted with beet kvass (you can do it yourself by finding the right recipe on the Internet, there's nothing complicated, and it's quite tasty). Next, we use broth – we throw cabbage and potatoes into it, cook almost until ready. Chopped beets are stewed in a frying pan with pieces of lamb. Separately fry: tomatoes and onions with carrots and parsley root, sour apples. We introduce all our toasting into the broth in turn, leave it to simmer for another fifteen minutes. Then we put the pre–boiled beans in the borscht, a little later - finely chopped lard, ground with garlic and parsley. The most important thing is that at the end of cooking our food should be sour! If the sourness is not enough, add more beet kvass to the broth.
