Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a salad with crackers and tomatoes? Prepare all the necessary products. Take meaty tomatoes. Of course, it is best to use seasonal tomatoes. But now, even in the off-season, it is quite possible to find good quality vegetables in stores. When choosing tomatoes, focus on the smell: real tomatoes should smell like tomatoes. Take any cheese. Suitable for all varieties of hard and semi-hard cheese, also mozzarella and even cheese with mold.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

To start, we will prepare crackers. It seemed to me that white bread crackers are more suitable for this salad, but you can also cook crackers from any other bread in the same way. Cut the bread into small cubes. I have such a cut, because I make crackers for salad and they should not be large. For ordinary crackers, slicing can be any, much larger.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour 2 tablespoons of oil into the pan and fry the crackers on all sides until crisp and golden brown.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put the crackers in a separate bowl and salt them. You can also pepper or add some seasonings.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

In the same pan, heat the remaining oil, add chopped 1 clove of garlic. I put it through the press, but you can also grate it or chop it with a knife.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Fry the garlic for literally 20-30 seconds. Caution! Garlic burns very quickly!

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Pour oil with garlic crackers and mix them. Delicious crackers are ready!

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Now we are preparing the salad directly. Wash the tomatoes well. It is best to use a special brush and a means for washing vegetables. Remove the stalk from the tomatoes and cut into thin slices. In principle, how you slice tomatoes does not play any role. Therefore, you can cut them into cubes and mugs.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Add a crushed garlic clove to the tomatoes.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Grate the cheese and add it to the rest of the ingredients.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Season the salad with sour cream. Fans of junk food, of course, can use mayonnaise. Check for salt, - add salt if necessary.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Mix everything, put the salad in a salad bowl.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Serve salad with crackers. But add crackers to the salad just before eating, otherwise they will get wet.

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

    Bon appetit!

Sour cream can be replaced with natural yogurt without additives. But if you want to use mayonnaise as a dressing, it is better to prepare it yourself. It will be tastier and healthier. See here interesting recipes for homemade mayonnaise .
