Turkey meat is considered a dietary product due to its low fat content. One serving of turkey meat contains a daily allowance of omega-3 saturated fatty acids that stimulate the heart and increase brain activity. That is why it is so important to eat this meat in your diet. Traditionally, the side dish for turkey is fried or boiled potatoes. In this recipe, vegetables serve as a side dish, which makes this dish even more useful and satisfying.

Wash, peel and dry the turkey meat with a paper towel. In our case, you will only need turkey shins, but by slightly changing the recipe, you can use other parts of the bird.

Wash the lemon, cut in half and squeeze lemon juice into turkey pieces.

Make turkey seasoning. To do this, mix 1 teaspoon of salt, black pepper, garlic powder and thyme in a separate bowl. Roll the meat in this mixture and rub the turkey shins well.

Turn on the oven at 200 degrees.

Peel, wash and dice the onion. Carrots and potatoes are also peeled, rinsed and dried. Vegetables are better to use small sizes.

Pour vegetable oil into a well-heated frying pan. Fry the onion over medium heat until golden brown. Add carrots and potatoes to the pan. Add salt. Fry the vegetables until golden brown over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Transfer the fried vegetables to a baking dish, pre-greasing it with oil. Put the turkey meat on top of the vegetables.

Heat the wine in a small saucepan. It is better to use a white wine with a minimum sugar content. As soon as the wine starts to boil, remove the pan from the heat and pour it over the turkey meat with vegetables.

Put the turkey in the preheated oven. Bake the dish for 1.5 hours or until the meat is fully cooked. As soon as the turkey crust turns brown, cover the mold with foil.

Serve the finished dish, garnished with chopped herbs and with a glass of dry white wine. Bon appetit!
