Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min

The dish is spicy, not quite ordinary, but very pleasant to the taste. Such food is very relevant on a rainy autumn evening. A culinary recipe may include a side dish of rice, potatoes.
To cook meat balls with feta, add breadcrumbs, egg, yogurt and half of all the spices from the list to the minced meat. Usually cinnamon is not added to meat, but a little bit, as in our recipe, it will give the dish a pleasant taste. Salt the minced meat, mix and form balls from it. The size of the balls is about the size of a walnut.
Fry the meat balls in olive oil. It is not necessary to bake the meat completely, the main thing is to brown it.
Onion cut into half rings, pepper cubes, carrot strips, garlic minced.
Fry the vegetables in a deep saucepan in olive oil until they become transparent.
Add the wine and boil for three to four minutes on high heat.
Add the spices that are left.
Tomatoes now. If you do not have tomatoes in their own juice, then you can cook a dish with fresh tomatoes, but you need to add tomato paste, and peel the tomatoes. And add half a glass of water.
The sauce turned out. Add sugar and meat balls to it. We salt a little, we need to leave the sauce slightly unsalted, because feta, when added to the dish, will add a salty taste.
Stew the dish for about an hour on very low heat.
The dish is ready. Mix the feta with the sauce. Meat balls are good to serve with olives or olives, as well as toasted nuts.
The dish can go with a side dish and as a separate hot dish for dinner.
