Lazy cabbage rolls are prepared much easier than usual, even a novice cook can cope.

Let's start cooking lazy cabbage rolls without cabbage with rice in a frying pan. To begin with, we wash the rice several times until the water becomes transparent. Rice will need 4 tablespoons. Pour boiling water over the rice and wrap it in a towel. You do not need to cook rice. While we prepare the rest of the ingredients, the rice will reach the condition (it will take about 15 minutes). Then drain the excess liquid. In this way, the rice will turn crumbly and reach half-readiness, when cooking there is a risk of digesting the rice into porridge.

We twist the meat in a meat grinder into minced meat. I used pure pork, but lazy cabbage rolls from a mixture of pork and beef in equal proportions are even tastier. Sometimes I even add a little chicken breast to the minced meat.

Let's take one large onion. We clean it and finely chop it. We send the onion to the frying pan to fry in vegetable oil.

One large or two small carrots are washed, cleaned and grated on a coarse grater. We send the grated carrots to the onion and fry for a couple of minutes.

We combine minced meat, rice, vegetable frying. Salt, add spices (hops-suneli) and mix well. You can optionally add one raw egg, but even without an egg, cabbage rolls keep their shape perfectly.

We form lazy cabbage rolls in the form of oblong cutlets, wetting our hands in cold water. We begin to fry lazy cabbage rolls without cabbage with rice in vegetable oil for two to three minutes on each side.

While our lovebirds are browning in a frying pan, we will prepare a filling for them. To fill, mix two tablespoons of sour cream and tomato paste with a glass of water, salt to taste. In order for the filling to have a uniform consistency, you can use an immersion blender.

Fill the lazy cabbage rolls with tomato-sour cream filling, add one bay leaf and simmer for 10 minutes.

We serve ready-made lazy cabbage rolls with rice without cabbage, sprinkled with fresh finely chopped herbs.

Bon appetit!
