Cheese tortillas with milk in a frying pan

Soft, fragrant and nutritious cheese tortillas! They are ideal, as they turn out to be especially tasty, due to the use of milk in the recipe and are multifunctional. Such tortillas can be used instead of bread or for snacks. Yes, you can just eat them for breakfast with coffee!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 30 min

Take a deep container and pour milk into it, we will also break a chicken egg there. Now sift half of the flour through a sieve and add this half to the milk and egg.
Mix the ingredients.
Grate the cheese and add it to the flour mass, mix the ingredients again.
Now add the remaining half of wheat flour in portions, while constantly kneading the dough with your hands (your hands should be lubricated with vegetable oil).
We divide the already kneaded cheese dough into 7-8 pieces of the same size. In this case, the tortillas are obtained in a small size. To make larger tortillas, the dough must be divided into fewer parts. We roll out each piece of dough with a rolling pin, giving them a round shape. The thickness of the cake should be about 5 mm. Now we make incisions on each rolled flat cake with a knife.
When all the pieces of cakes in milk are ready, put the pan on medium heat, lubricate it with vegetable oil with a silicone brush, then spread a few cakes in the pan and fry them on both sides until golden brown.
I advise you to immediately serve the tortillas on the table while they are hot. Later, the cooled tortillas can be heated in the oven at 180 ° C for 3-5 minutes. Due to the fact that milk is added to the dough, the tortillas do not harden for a long time, but I assure you, they will not lie for a long time, since they "fly away" very quickly, they are eaten by both cheeks.

I want to draw attention to a couple of important points. The fact that the number of ready-made tortillas may turn out to be different, since it depends on the size of the tortilla itself. The dough can be divided into 7 parts and make small tortillas, or it can be divided, for example, into 3 parts, and thus get large cheese tortillas (in the size of the diameter of the frying pan). And the second. The taste of the tortillas themselves changes from the selected cheese, I used ordinary hard cheese, but you can add absolutely any cheese to your taste.
