Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h

The bulk of Cuban meat dishes are made from chicken or pork. And bananas in Cuba are added to almost every meal. They are eaten for dessert, along with hot meat snacks, added to sauces and there are many, many other uses for this fruit. The combination of the taste of meat and bananas can be appreciated if you cook pork in Guajira. I take the flesh of a pork ham and cut it into cubes of 35-40 g. Sprinkle each piece with pepper, salt and sprinkle with lemon juice. I add cumin, bay leaf and put the meat in a cold place for an hour.
When the required time expires, the meat is deep fried. Now I'm cooking a side dish of bananas. I take unripe fruits and thinly slice them with diagonal plates. Then fry the plates in oil. To the table, I serve fried pork on a platter along with fried bananas. Fried potatoes can also be served as a side dish. I decorate the dish with herbs. Enjoy your meal.
