Fern with meat is a traditional dish of Korean cuisine, which is becoming more and more popular. One of its main differences is the lower content of animal protein and the use of a variety of vegetables and roots. Of the plants, Koreans prefer the lotus root, bamboo shoots and ferns. On the basis of the latter, Koreans prepare such national delicacies as mowers-namul, pibimpap, make salads from it, cook soups.

The combination of fern with fried pork or chicken is especially popular in Korea and not only. Due to the perfectly balanced combination of spicy, salty and kilo-sweet flavors, this dish has become popular in many countries.

The main component of this dish is a fern. All other ingredients are designed to complement and shade the taste of this exotic plant.

In this case, salted shoots of young fern are used. You can pickle them yourself, or buy them ready-made at the market or in the supermarket.

Before using the fern for food, it is necessary to soak it in water to rid the finished dish of excess salt. To do this, pour a salty fern with a large amount of water, periodically changing it. And it is best to fill the shoots with water for the whole night. Then drain the salt water, and thoroughly rinse and clean the fern. Spread the shoots on a paper towel and dry. Cut the stalks into 6 cm long cubes .

Peel the onion, wash and cut into cubes.

Pour vegetable oil into a preheated frying pan, fry the onion on it. Add the chopped meat and also fry until golden brown.

Add the fern to the meat in the pan and fry over medium heat for 4 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and add spices and soy sauce to it. Mix everything thoroughly.

Peel the garlic, chop it and, together with sesame seeds, also pour it out to the fern with meat. Taste it and add the missing ingredients.

Wash the cilantro, finely chop, add to the pan, mix. Pour sesame seeds into the same place and mix everything again.

Put the finished dish on plates and decorate with green onions. Bon appetit!
