Cooking time: 40 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to put out squid in sour cream with onions in a frying pan? First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. Sour cream can use any fat content, I have 15%. In addition to these spices, you can add your own herbs and spices to taste.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Squid can be used already peeled without skin or with skin. If you use unpeeled squid, you must first remove the skin from them, remove the insides, the chitin plate. To make the squid easier to clean, you can drop the carcasses into boiling water for 30 seconds. Cut the prepared squid carcasses into rings. Cut the tail fins into strips.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Cut the onion into half rings or cubes, as you like. In addition to onions, you can also chop 1 clove of garlic.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Wash, dry and finely chop the dill. In addition to dill, you can use other herbs to taste.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Heat vegetable and butter in a frying pan. Put the onion and fry, stirring, until soft and light golden brown for about 3 minutes. Then you can go in two ways: 1. Pour 1 tbsp. l. into the frying pan to the onion without a hill of flour and fry, stirring, for another 1 minute, and then pour in sour cream. But in this case, the appearance of lumps is not excluded. That's why I cook sour cream sauce differently.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

So that the sour cream does not curdle when stewing, I advise you to dilute 1 tablespoon of corn starch in it in advance.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Pour sour cream with starch into the frying pan to the onion. Season everything with salt, pepper and mix. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring, for a couple of minutes. If necessary, dilute the sauce with milk, sour cream or water, bringing the sauce to the desired consistency.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Put the squid in the pan and simmer all together for no longer than 3 minutes, otherwise the squid will become hard as rubber and completely tasteless.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Sprinkle all the chopped dill and mix.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Immediately remove the pan from the heat, cover with a lid and let the squid brew for about 20 minutes. These squid can be served as a separate appetizer or main course with any side dish. Bon appetit!
