For lovers of unusual and exotic combinations! Meat with fruit is always a good idea, for me personally. Citrus fruits play especially well in this case. The combination of the sweetness of an orange and the bright taste of chicken marinated with soy sauce, garlic and ginger is very unexpected!

    Now let's make the marinade. To do this, mix the juice, soy sauce, black and red pepper, grated ginger and garlic.

    Mix the marinade with a fork so that all the components are well mixed.

    We put the chicken in a bowl that can be closed, pour the marinade and put it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least three hours. But it's better for 8-12 hours, I did exactly that.

    Cut the second orange into small pieces.

    After the end of the marinating time, we put the chicken in a baking dish, pour the marinade, put the pieces of orange on top.

    Bake the chicken in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 45-50 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy your meal!

The chicken turned out bright, both in taste and appearance, spicy due to pepper, with a light citrus note and juicy ginger-garlic.
I didn't have enough salt a little, I think I could have added it before baking.
Wings or shins are also perfect for this recipe, but I would not advise taking a breast.
You can add onions when baking, cut into large pieces.
Rice is perfect as a side dish, but it was delicious with mashed potatoes.
If you are not a fan of Asian notes, then do not put ginger, limit yourself to spices. Or, on the contrary, you can add even brighter ones, such as curry.
You can bake the whole chicken, in which case it should be marinated in a different way. Cut the orange into circles and shove them right under the skin. Rub the skin with garlic and pepper and marinate in this form for 8 hours. Then bake and serve on the festive table.
