Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to bake puffs with apples from puff pastry? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. Frozen puff pastry should be thawed. To do this, it must be removed from the package and left for a few minutes at room temperature, then separate the plates from each other and leave for another 1-1.5 hours.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Take sweet and sour apples. Wash them well under running water. If you wish, you can peel the apples from the skin, I did not peel them. Cut in half, remove the core. Cut into thin slices.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

In a small container, mix sugar and ground cinnamon. Instead of white sugar, you can take brown sugar, it will give the baking a caramel taste.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Roll out the thawed dough into a circle with a diameter of 25 cm. To get a beautiful smooth circle, I recommend cutting out a template of the right size from parchment, lay it on the rolled dough and cut a circle along the contour with a roller knife. Then cut the dough into 8 sectors. If you want the puffs to turn out to be larger, cut the dough into 6 parts.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Place 3-4 apple slices on the wide edge of each dough piece. In the middle of the triangle, make three small incisions with a sharp knife (I cut it with the same roller knife). Sprinkle the apples with the prepared mixture of sugar and cinnamon (about 0.5 teaspoons). Wrap the wide side with the narrow end of the triangle, bending the corner under the bottom of the envelope.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Cover the baking sheet with parchment. Lay out the blanks at some distance from each other, cover with a towel and send them to a warm place without drafts for 30 minutes for proofing. After that, lubricate the blanks with a mixture: 1 yolk + 1 tbsp. l of milk, sprinkle with poppy seeds on top. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 25-30 minutes. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

The finished puffs will increase slightly in size and acquire a pleasant golden hue. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and cool the pastries a little. Now you can help yourself and treat your loved ones. Brew strong fragrant tea and invite everyone to the table. Such apple puffs will be delicious and with warm milk. Have a cozy tea party!)

Puffs can be baked not only with apples, but also with other fruits, for example, peaches, apricots, plums. It will also be delicious with cottage cheese, dried fruits.

When the top layer of baking is slightly browned, check it for readiness: pierce it with a wooden skewer in several places, if the skewer comes out dry, then the form (or baking sheet) can be taken out of the oven.

Keep in mind that everyone has different ovens. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use the useful information about the features of ovens !

So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
