Chicken meat can be taken from any part, but the easiest way is to work with breast fillets. White meat belongs to the category of dietary, fillets are convenient to cut and cook quickly.Wash the chicken with running water, dry and cut into small cubes. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry quickly, stirring constantly, until the pieces turn white.

Add leeks and chopped mushrooms. Fry until the vegetables are soft and slightly golden. Add flour in small portions, stir well to avoid the appearance of lumps. Pour the milk in a thin stream, mix with a spatula until smooth. Add dry herbs and salt, mix, cover with a lid and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

While the chicken and mushrooms are getting ready, let's do the potatoes. Vegetables are cleaned, washed and cut into rings. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. The mixture of chicken and mushrooms is spread in a heat-resistant form, evenly distributed. Potatoes are laid out in rings on top of the chicken, so that the potato cavity covers the meat and mushrooms overlap. Sprinkle with cheese and send it to the oven for baking. Readiness is determined by the appearance of the cheese, it should be baked with an appetizing crust and begin to bubble. And, of course, we check the potatoes for softness. Depending on the power of the oven, the process takes 45-60 minutes.

It is necessary to serve the dish hot, immediately after the completion of the cooking process. If you leave it in the refrigerator, the taste will not spoil, but the cheese will lose its stickiness and harden.
