I've only seen in the movies what a huge ham, leg, or thigh looks like – lamb or cow. Some super hero beautifully slaughtered game, then roasted it on a spit. Mmm, she's dripping fat so deliciously. It seems that all the flavors came directly from the screen to your home. You are impatiently waiting for the opportunity to find this leg somewhere immediately and cook it! But, alas, you don't have a spit… Calm down, but you have an oven!!

This gorgeous food, as it turned out, is prepared quite easily. According to our culinary recipe, borrowed from the Finns, it will take 5 minutes to prepare and 4 hours to bake for cooking such a yummy lamb leg (if you bake at 120 ° C, or 8 hours (baking a leg at 80 ° C). And it will take 1-3 days to pickle the leg.

Let's first prepare a pickle for salting. Dilute 2 cups of salt in 2 liters of boiled hot or warm water, as well as a tablespoon of sugar and a teaspoon of saltpeter. In this brine prepared by you and salt the lamb. Do not forget to turn it over several times during salting.

After the lamb goes through the salting process, put it in a deep metal (with thick walls!) a frying pan or a goose coop. Closing the meat with a lid, put it in a preheated oven.

I sympathize with your family – such an awesome aroma will be carried around the house that only a very well-fed person can stand! Once your dish is ready, chill it. And now free the ham from the crust formed during baking on the surface. And cut the meat into slices, like ham, across the fibers.

With what to serve lamb ham? Yes, with anything! Black bread is good for the dish. And, of course, it will be decorated with greens or circles of red pepper.

Bon appetit!
