Halibut with potatoes in the oven

Fantastically delicious fish with spices! Halibut with potatoes in the oven is an extremely delicious hot dish of baked fish with a pleasant hint of lemon and fragrant thyme. A dish that pleases not only with its excellent taste, but also with its aesthetic appearance. Due to the fact that the potatoes are pre-cooked in the microwave, the baking process itself does not take much time.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h

1. Turn on the oven at 200-220 degrees Celsius and set the heating mode from above and below.

2. Potatoes are thoroughly washed under running water, dried and, without peeling, cut it into thin circles. We spread the potatoes on a large flat dish.

In a small deep bowl, mix olive oil with salt and ground black pepper. Garlic is peeled from the husk, and the cloves are passed through a special press. Next, put it in a bowl with olive oil.

Lubricate sliced potatoes with olive oil with spices and put it in the microwave for maximum mode first for 5 minutes. Then pull out and mix so that it is cooked evenly. Put the potatoes in the microwave again and cook for about the same amount until the potato slices become soft.

3. Halibut is thoroughly washed and wiped dry with paper towels. Then cut into portions. Sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper to taste.

4. The baking sheet is covered with parchment baking paper so that the dish does not stick during the baking process. We spread a layer of potato slices cooked in a microwave on parchment. Next, put the spiced halibut fillet on top of the potatoes. Put a small slice of butter on each piece of fish.

Fresh thyme sprigs are washed and dried, spread out on a towel. We put a sprig of fresh thyme on each serving piece of fish with potatoes.

Lemon is also washed, dried and thinly sliced into circles. We spread 2-3 slices of lemon on each piece of fish.

5. Put a baking sheet with fish and potatoes in a preheated oven and bake the dish until fully cooked for 15-20 minutes.

As soon as the fish is ready, carefully, with a wide spatula, we transfer it to a plate and serve it on the table.

Bon appetit!
