Apple pies from filo dough in the oven

Fragrant filling and crispy crust, what could be tastier? Having prepared homemade filo dough, I decided to test it in action. And to tell the truth, it turned out to taste great (that's just the appearance slightly let down). The pies turned out very tasty, tender apples with cinnamon inside, and a crispy crust on the outside. At first , I prepared only 8 pieces for the sample . (I was worried that it might not work), but after trying the result, I immediately prepared a double or even triple portion:) That's just to make it easier for myself, I was already cooking not pies, but rolls, something like a strudel. Therefore, if there is no time, prepare rolls.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 45 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Ingredients. The number of ingredients is actually quite approximate, it all depends on your taste: cinnamon, sugar, the number of apples.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

To start, peel the apples and cut into a small cube, add cinnamon to taste and mix (also, if desired, apples can be sprinkled with lemon juice, this will add a little sourness and will not allow the apples to darken).

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Cut the filo dough into strips (each strip I had was about 20 cm long and about 8 cm wide). Each strip is lubricated with melted butter. Put a spoonful of apple filling on the edge of the dough and sprinkle sugar on top.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We turn the edges of the dough inside, and we fold the strip itself (we should get 2-3 layers of dough around the filling) and thus form pies.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Spread them on a baking sheet, grease with beaten egg and sprinkle sugar on top.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Bake at 190 C until golden brown.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Served with tea or coffee. Bon appetit!

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Inside the pie looks like this. Help yourself!
