Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the shortbread dough. In the sifted flour, add the cooled butter from the refrigerator, salt and sugar. Now all this needs to be ground into a crumb. I used a blender, but you can do it with your hands. We pour the finished crumbs into a deep bowl, where we will knead the dough.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

We drive an egg into the prepared loose mixture and begin to knead the dough in a bowl with a fork or spoon, transfer the thickened mass to the table and hang it. The dough turns out smooth, it is good to work with it. We form a ball from the dough, put it on a flat dish, cover it with cling film and send it to the cold for 20 minutes. I put it in the refrigerator.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

We divide the rested dough into two or three parts for convenience. First we take one part, roll out the sausage and cut into pieces of the same size. The size of the cookies at the output will depend on the size of the blanks. I tried to make small pieces so that the cookies came out small. We do the same with the rest of the test.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We knead each piece with our hands into a flat cake, put prunes and half a walnut in the middle. I bought nuts in the store already peeled, they came in whole kernels, which I easily split into two parts.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Bend the edges of the tortilla to the middle and pinch them tightly, forming a bag with an open neck, from which a walnut peeks out. About 22-24 cookies will come out of the whole dough.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

For baking cookies, I used a tray with notches for cupcakes, designed for 12 products. They just fit the size and it turned out very convenient. You can also use a baking tray or a baking dish that you have in your arsenal. There is no need to lubricate the bottom with anything. We send the cookies to the preheated oven for 20 minutes. The temperature is 180 degrees.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

After 20 minutes, we remove the cookies from the oven to lubricate it with honey. You will need liquid honey and a silicone brush. Lubricate each cookie with honey and send it back to the oven to bake for another 5-7 minutes. Take out the cookies, release the molds and bake the next batch. Barter came out with two games.
