Cook potatoes in a saucepan. It should be boiled properly, because later we will pound it. How to turn potatoes into a thick homogeneous mass, fill the container,
in which they were kneaded, half of the water left after cooking in a saucepan.

Chopped onions, mushrooms, vegetables, garlic, carrots and herbs are fried in a frying pan using vegetable oil. Their mixture will be our filling for the casserole.

We bring the baking dish into a decent shape, smear the surface with oil and cover it completely with our puree, or rather half of what we have. We transfer the mushroom filling, enriched with pleasant additives, to a layer of puree. Pour the filling on top with a second layer of mashed potatoes.

We cook from 15 minutes to half an hour, depending on the selected oven temperature. We watch when the surface of the casserole completely changes color and is not covered with a crust. This is a sure signal that the potato casserole with lean mushrooms is ready and it's time to get it.
