Cranberry pie with apples and meringue

Cooking this pie is a real pleasure. I've been looking at beautiful pies under a lush meringue hat for a long time. In the end, I decided to experiment and come up with something of my own. I really liked the combination of baked apples with cranberries. A crispy crumbly cake and delicate meringue add airiness and sophistication to this pie.
