Cake police car made of mastic

Bright children's cake will make the holiday unforgettable! I'll tell you this: a self-made cake is much tastier than a custom-made one. This is the cake I baked for my son, despite the fact that I am far from a professional in this business. I share the process in detail - if desired, everyone will succeed)

Cooking method

Cooking time: 11 h

In a deep bowl, sift the flour together with baking powder and cocoa powder (yes, cocoa also needs to be sifted, since lumps often form in it). In a separate container, spread the softened butter, pour out the sugar and grind everything until smooth.

Then pour in the milk and break the eggs. Mix everything, add dry ingredients, mix again and get a thin dough. Pour the dough into a round shape (I have 22 cm in diameter), covered with baking paper, and bake at 190 degrees for about 30 minutes. The finished cake is removed from the mold and left for 3-6 hours.

Beat softened butter with a mixer until fluffy, then add condensed milk, beat again. The cream is divided into two parts: one will go to smear the cakes, and the second - to align the top under the mastic.

Cut off the sides of the cake to get the semblance of a rectangle. We cut the main part into three cakes, smear them with cream. From the sidewalls, we build the top of the car (where the windshield will be), coat the layout with cream, carefully leveling the surface. We send the workpiece to the refrigerator for 2 hours.

We divide the mastic into parts: we leave most of it white, we paint the rest in the right colors and form the details of the police car. I want to say that this is a painstaking task and it is better to work with mastic 1-2 days before the cake is assembled, otherwise you just can't manage everything in a day. Although it depends on experience and modeling abilities :)

We wrap the cooled cake with a mastic layer, glue the finished parts (mastic is glued with water - you just need to moisten the back of the part with a brush and glue it to the right place).

That's it, a beautiful cake is ready to please the birthday boy!
