Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 7 d
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

I started my work with the fact that it dries for a long time - SAILS. It is better to have a week in reserve, so as not to worry that something will not dry out. It took me 4 types of mastic for the cake, this is my intuitive opinion, and who is used to it there) I took marshmallow mastic with oil on the sails, it retains plasticity, does not dry out on the stone and will not fall off with sudden movements.First, we cut out the supposed sails from the paper.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Then we prepare tools - pliers (were bought only for working with cakes), a ruler, a knife, and consumables - I have chopsticks, stainless steel wire.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Stainless steel wire should not be thin, so that it holds its shape well and is not galvanized, compatible with food.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

I remembered that I forgot to take a picture when the sails were already ready. It is necessary to cut the wire along the upper and lower width of each sail, but always with a margin for the loop. Wrap the skewer with wire and cross it.It turns out a loop. We make a loop freely walking on a skewer. This is necessary in order to freely put a ready-made mastic sail on a skewer. In the photo, the loop, since the wire has ended, its width should correspond to the width of the edge of the sail.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We apply and cut out the sails from the mastic niche, we also take a margin from above and below to wrap around the wire. We make a hole for the loop at the bottom of the sail after the hole. We fix the edges around on the wire, moisten with water to keep it.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

We put our sails on a skewer, clamp the loops with pliers, fix our sails and put something under the edges, shape them and leave them to dry. I made sails from this site, everything is written in great detail here, I just changed the shape a little. https://clck.ru/Qcmsj

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

We cut out a paper template for our boat. I made a honey cake-Napoleon, I have a recipe in my cookbook. The dough sits down very much when cutting and moving, so it's better to take it with a margin. Don't try too hard, it will still need to be leveled and the leftovers will also go away)

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Smear our cake with sour cream and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours for impregnation, so that it is convenient to cut.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

We apply our pattern and circle around the very edge, make a shape.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Cover it with our cream for mastic (mixed melted butter at room temperature with condensed milk)

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

    Cut out the middle

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

And we put our middle on the back of the ship, level it up

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

We smear the places with cream under the mastic, although it was possible to cut out immediately, then smear everything))We put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

We take it out of the refrigerator and level it again.

  15. Step 15:

    Step 15.

And so on from all sides. I cut a little at the bottom, for a more realistic shape. I put all the scraps on the bow of the ship.

  16. Step 16:

    Step 16.

Roll out our shokomastika, I also have a recipe in my book. Only in the recipe I gave more powdered sugar, it's harder to work with it, but it sits well, like real dostochki. To make it not so hard, I took small portions and put them in the microwave for a few seconds. I decided to take the dostochek form from a small ruler, just cut it out from it.

  17. Step 17:

    Step 17.

Walked with a knife to give the appearance of a tree.

  18. Step 18:

    Step 18.

    Be patient and go ahead))

  19. Step 19:

    Step 19.

And so on from all sides

  20. Step 20:

    Step 20.

We store our dostochki so that they are as realistic as possible. We pass along the top with an iron, level the surface.

  21. Step 21:

    Step 21.

I decided to decorate the middle and rear part of the ship with a pattern like this.

  22. Step 22:

    Step 22.

It turned out to be original))

  23. Step 23:

    Step 23.

That's how it looks on the finished ship.

  24. Step 24:

    Step 24.

We also make a chest in advance. I had it made of mastic from baby food, it is very tasty and hardens well. The chest was with a recess, I poured M&M&039;s, candied fruits, confectionery beads into it and made coins out of mastic and gilded with candurine. Here is the link on which I did https://retseptytortov.ru/ukrashenie-tortov/ukrasheniya-iz-mastiki-sunduk-iz-mastiki-master-klass/

  25. Step 25:

    Step 25.

I had the steering wheel and anchor from mold, the lifeline is simple.

  26. Step 26:

    Step 26.

I cut out the windows at random, painted them with kandurin, guns according to a similar scenario, the black muzzle of the gun from the purchased mastic, only it is glued on dry kandurin. I also made columns.

  27. Step 27:

    Step 27.

Painted skulls on the sails and painted the edges with candurine for the old-fashioned effect. I made a black flag from purchased mastic and lost it, when drawing a picture on it, one of them just fell off (

  28. Step 28:

    Step 28.

On the front part, I made a floor of narrow dostochki on the same principle.

  29. Step 29:

    Step 29.

Well, what a pirate ship without a cannon, I sculpted it without a master class, just from the picture I found. I have hazelnut kernels in chocolate, glued together with mastic.

  30. Step 30:

    Step 30.

And of course, as you name the ship, so it will sail! Letters from mold, so it's easier and faster))To make our ship shine, we dilute honey and vodka in equal proportions and cover it with a brush. Water or our sea)) I made it out of protein cream, don't scold me for the first time, I haven't worked with a pastry bag before.

  31. Step 31:

    Step 31.

The birthday girl is 5 years old, it must be fixed)

The cake turned out to be very painstaking, requires patience and perseverance, as there are a lot of small details, but it's worth it. Inside it can be any, and honey cake and biscuit, the main thing is that it is delicious)) Bon appetit and happy holidays! As a result, the cake turned out to be almost 4 kg)

Cake mastic can be purchased in specialty stores for confectioners, or you can cook yourself by choosing the one you like mastic recipe.
