    Beat butter (softened) with sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, stirring. Add vanilla sugar and mix. Separately mix the flour with baking powder, salt and combine both masses, kneading a homogeneous dough.

    Grease a baking sheet (preferably rectangular) with oil or put parchment on it. Put the dough on top, washed and dried pitted cherries on the dough. Bake in a preheated 180C oven for 45 minutes. Then hold the pie on a baking sheet for 10 minutes and let it cool completely on the grill.
