Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 9 h 35 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Wash the duck carcass and dry it with a paper towel.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Rub the duck with salt and pepper.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Then lubricate the duck carcass with honey and mustard sauce. We send the duck to the refrigerator for several hours (from 1 to 8 hours) to soak in the sauce. After the time has elapsed, we put 3-4 apples inside (I prefer sour "antonovka"), cinnamon (ground), bay leaf and nutmeg.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Put the prepared carcass in a baking dish, sprinkle with lemon juice and cut with a knife in several places. The form with the duck is sent to the oven, preheated to 220 degrees, baked for an hour. Periodically water the duck with melted fat.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

To prevent the duck from burning on top, cover it with foil. You can wrap the carcass completely in foil, then the duck will bake inside itself, you do not need to water it. After the time has elapsed, reduce the heat of the oven to 160 degrees, put the remaining apples in the mold, pour duck fat, and bake for another 20 minutes. Duck with apples is ready, bon appetit!
