Red fish steak in the oven

A great treat for a dinner party with wine and conversation! My friends and I often gather at my house for an evening with wine. One of our favorite treats at the same time is fish steaks in the oven. They are prepared simply and quickly. Rosy, fragrant and satisfying!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 45 min

Cover the baking dish with foil, lubricate the bottom with half of vegetable oil. Take a sheet of foil of such a size that it is enough to wrap the fish before baking.

We put rosemary, chopped ginger root on the bottom.

We put portioned fish steaks on top, salt and pepper.

Put a slice of salted lemon on top of each steak. Sprinkle everything with the rest of the oil.

Wrap the fish in a foil envelope and put it in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes in the oven in foil, we take out and unfold the fish. In order for the fish to brown, we put it under the grill for another 10 minutes or in an oven heated by a few degrees more.

Steaks are ready, served with your favorite salad or side dish.

Soulful evenings!
