Black Prince cake on sour cream

Such a chocolate duet will undoubtedly cheer you up! Why a duet? Yes, because both cakes and cream have a rich chocolate taste and bear the noble name "Black Prince". I just love this cake for all its chocolate virtues and for me there is no cake more festive than this. I recommend it!

Cooking method

Cooking time: 3 h 30 min

Bake the cake:

In a deep and spacious bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, soda, salt and cocoa powder. Add sour cream to the resulting mixture, beat in the egg and put the previously softened butter. Mix the dough using a whisk or mixer (the mass should be smooth and homogeneous).

Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil (or you can line it with parchment) and lightly sprinkle with flour. Pour the dough into the prepared mold and send it to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. Bake for about 30-40 minutes.

While the cake is baking, prepare the cream:

Pour cocoa powder and sugar into a saucepan, put sour cream, mix with a whisk until smooth and homogeneous. Send the saucepan to the fire and, bringing the mass to a boil, add the butter. Cook the cream for 5 minutes, then let it cool down a little.

Assemble the cake:

Cut the cake into three equal parts, generously smear them with cream and lay them on top of each other. Pour the remaining cream on top of the cake, spreading it over the surface and on the sides.

Give a little time for impregnation (about 1-2 hours, preferably in the refrigerator) and serve it on the table, decorated with chocolate chips.

What a handsome man he is, this "Black Prince"!

Enjoy!
