Ready-made cutlets turn out delicious, juicy. Any side dish will do. Enjoy your meal!

If you use frozen minced fish, then you need to defrost it in the refrigerator beforehand. Drain the liquid released during defrosting. At the same time, it is desirable to squeeze the minced meat itself slightly from excess moisture.
Steamed cutlets can be cooked not only in a slow cooker, but also in a steamer or even a mantovark.
Minced meat can be from any fish. I used cod, but very tasty cutlets are obtained if you combine pike and walleye fillets, as well as any kind of red fish - trout, chum salmon, etc.
Onions are usually added to any cutlets. With it, the cutlets turn out juicy. However, I did not add it because of the individual intolerance of this ingredient. If you want to add an onion, then it should be cleaned, cut and either chopped in a blender, or very finely chopped with a knife. In this case, the onion can be added raw, or you can fry in a frying pan in vegetable oil until golden brown. At the same time, you can fry together with onions and grated carrots. The taste of the cutlets will be different and the number of calories will slightly increase due to the oil.

Ready-made minced fish can be replaced with fresh fish fillets. He needs to be checked for bones. Then put the fish, carrots, egg and spices in a blender and beat everything until smooth. It will take a little longer.

Note that the quality and taste of the finished dish largely depends on the proper defrosting of the ingredients. How to avoid mistakes and choose the best way, read the article about defrosting.

Keep in mind that the cooking time and mode are indicated approximately in the recipe. All slow cookers work differently and even the same models of the same manufacturer may have their own characteristics. Before you start cooking a new dish for you in a slow cooker, carefully study the instructions for it, and then in practice try to cook dishes that are familiar to you first, and then new ones, choosing the mode and time individually for your own technique.

If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.
