Crumpets like grandma's in a frying pan

Light, airy, delicious, simple – such crumpets from grandma. Yes, they are light in the literal sense of the word. Airy, because it's just like fluff. Delicious, because the recipe is super. Well, simple ones, because there is nothing complicated in the process. If crumpets are prepared with a lot of sugar, then they can be a great alternative to any store-bought pastries and other flour products. We serve it with tea or with compote. And so, without anything or with jam, sour cream, condensed milk – it's delicious! And if you do it without sugar, then such a crumpet will go with a bang during any meal, on a trip, on a sortie and at lunchtime at work.

And more tips

Instead of sour cream, you can take kefir, yogurt, yogurt, etc.

You can knead the dough not only with your hands, but also in a bread maker, food processor, etc .

The dough should be soft, but elastic, however, in moderation, i.e. not too dense.

When rolling out the dough, turn the layer over more often, then it will not stick.

The sizes of crumpets can be different – from the diameter of the glass to the diameter of the bottom of the pan.

Sugar can be put at a minimum (1 tbsp.l.) if you want crumpets for the first courses.

From the scraps, roll out the layer again and cut out the crumpets.

Putting the blanks in the oil, shake off the flour from them.

Fried crumpets can be put on a napkin to remove excess fat.

In the second portion of frying it is necessary to add oil and warm up.
