Truly, Korea is an unusual country, with its unusual and original cuisine. Her cooking recipes amaze every time, and the food, cooked, it would seem, completely from simple ingredients, is terribly delicious!
It would seem, well, what can you cook from radish? So no, you can! It is according to the Korean recipe that I want to share with you.
So, today we are preparing a spicy salty snack of radish (cactus).
Radish, of course, which should be cooked with seasonings. First, wash the radish thoroughly, peel it and cut it into small cubes.
Now about cactugi, about one of the types of salted vegetables, kimchi. Salting cacti, do not forget to use a large and beautiful red pepper. And in this case, the dish will have a rather pleasant color.
And khetkaktugi is a cactugi that is cooked as if in a hurry. However, the radish should be cut smaller. You can cook cacti with the addition of lettuce (piachu), and without it at all.
To prepare a cactus snack, we choose dense fruits that are well ripened. Peel the radish from the tendrils and cut into slices with sides 2-2.5 cm. Cut off the lettuce (piachu) leaves, using only the yellow part. And now we will wash them and cut them about 3 cm long . Wash the white part of the green onion, cut it 3-3.5 cm long. We will separate the salted shrimp from the brine and press them down with oppression – I hope there is this thing in your house. Now mix the radish with red pepper.
After the radish turns red evenly, add salted shrimp with onion, garlic with the rest of the seasonings, and mix it all together. Now add salt to taste, put the whole mass in a container and tamp it tightly. And now put red pepper on top, cut into strips. Or just sprinkle with seasoning.
Bon appetit!
