We start cooking, and for this:

- chop the cabbage thinly;

- peel the carrots, wash them, three on a coarse grater;

- peel garlic, cut into small pieces;

- pour water into a saucepan, send it to the fire, bring it to a boil;

- pour sugar and salt into boiling water, mix until they are completely dissolved, then pour vinegar;

- re-send the saucepan to the fire, add the bay leaf and bring the brine to a boil;

- combine cabbage, carrots and garlic in one bowl, pour hot brine, leave at room temperature for 2 hours.

After the specified time, the cabbage is ready and you can try it.
