First of all, you need to peel the onion, cut it into slices. For the marinade: mix all the ingredients. Water, vinegar, honey, salt. Boil the marinade, add onion and spices to it. Cook the onion until "transparent". After that, put the contents in a jar and put them in a cold place to marinate for at least 13 - 15 hours. For taste, you can also add spices - rosemary, or dill. If you put some slices of raw (or boiled) beetroot in the marinade, then the onion will turn out to be an unusually beautiful color. And if the onion is not cooked for very long, as it boils, remove from the stove, cool, then put in the refrigerator, then the onion will turn out very crispy. You can add vegetable oil to the marinade. That's ready to eat delicious, healthy pickled onions for shish kebab and not only!
