Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 h
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the products necessary for making sausage from cookies as in childhood. You will need: shortbread cookies, milk, granulated sugar, butter, peeled walnuts, cocoa powder.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

In a metal bowl, combine butter, milk, granulated sugar and cocoa powder.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Put the bowl on a water bath and heat, stirring, until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved in a mixture of melted butter, milk and cocoa powder.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Shortbread cookies must be finely chopped with a sharp knife. This is a rather long and painstaking process that will require patience and perseverance from you. Crushed shortbread cookies should be a mixture of fine crumbs and small pieces of cookies. With the help of a blender, you can only get small crumbs, so it's better to chop the cookies with a knife.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Dry the peeled walnuts in a dry frying pan and chop them into small pieces. Add to the crushed liver. Stir with a tablespoon.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour the warm chocolate mass into the mixture of cookies and walnuts.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Mix gently with a tablespoon until as smooth as possible. Chocolate syrup should completely soak the shortbread crumbs, with the exception of some large pieces.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Spread the food wrap on a large cutting board or on the table, lay out the chocolate mass from the cookies. Form a sausage with a diameter of about 5-6 cm. Turn up the edges. Put the finished sausage in the refrigerator for 7-8 hours. To make the shape of the sausage close to round during cooling, periodically roll the sausage with a little effort on a flat surface. At first, the sausage is very soft, but as it hardens, it will be compacted and it is better to keep its shape.

You can roll the finished sausage to your taste in cocoa powder, powdered sugar.
Milk and butter must be fresh and natural, of high quality.
