As always, the recipe for making homemade gooseberry wine is very simple.
For the production of wine, large yellow gooseberry fruits are used, or special wine varieties with red berries that taste sweet.
The taste and aroma of homemade gooseberry wine is very similar to wine from grapes.
Homemade gooseberry wine is a high quality drink with a pleasant aroma and taste. Mixing gooseberry berries with others in the manufacture of wine is not recommended.
Gooseberry berries are harvested, sorted, crushed.
The berries prepared in this way stand for 2-3 days.
After the time has elapsed, the juice is squeezed out, which must be defended.
The leftovers from the berries are poured with two liters of water and additional juice is obtained under pressure.
The prepared fermentation tank is rinsed with brandy, both gooseberry juices are poured and sugar is added.
The fermentation process takes about 3.5 months. During this entire period, 100 ml of ice water should be added every 3-4 days.
When the fermentation process is completed, the bottle is closed with a water lock.
Homemade gooseberry wine will finally be ready in 9 months.
