  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare strawberry liqueur in a simple way, without adding alcohol (vodka). It is not necessary to prepare this drink during the berry harvest season, in summer, in winter, you can also make a liqueur from frozen strawberries, after defrosting it. Fresh strawberries should be thoroughly rinsed under running water, removing all sepals and rotten berries. Strawberries need to be sorted carefully, remove all berries with any signs of rot and mold.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Put the berries in a clean, sterilized and dried jar. Sprinkle the strawberries with sugar and cover with gauze.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Leave in a dark place with a temperature regime of about 20-25 degrees for a couple of days. The sugar should completely dissolve, and the berries should be juiced, the berry mixture should have a sour smell and foam on the surface. So, fermentation has begun, everything has been done correctly.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

We remove the gauze from the neck of the jar and put on a rubber medical glove. In one of the fingers of the glove, you need to make a small hole so that the air can freely escape during fermentation. However, no air from outside should get into the jar, so the glove should fit snugly to the neck of the jar, if necessary, it can be fixed with an elastic band.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

We remove the jar with strawberry blanks back to a dark place for 1.5-2 months, periodically checking the condition of the liqueur, shake it so that the fermentation goes stronger. Depending on the temperature regime, fermentation may stop earlier. If the glove is deflated, then the drink is ready. Filter the homemade liqueur through gauze, folded in several layers, so that the drink turns out cleaner, you can lay a piece of cotton wool between the layers of gauze.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

We bottle the liqueur, seal it tightly with corks and put it away for storage in a dark, cool place. Homemade liqueur is obtained with a strength of about 11-14 degrees. It can be stored for no more than two years at a temperature of 10-18 degrees.
