Viburnum is known to be a very useful plant. It helps in the fight against various colds, normalizes blood pressure, promotes good digestion. Having prepared a tincture of these medicinal berries, you can use it throughout the year at the slightest signs of colds.

Viburnum is best harvested immediately after the first frosts. It is these berries that are considered the most useful. First of all, they should be sorted out, selecting the most ripe and unspoiled. Then thoroughly rinse the viburnum berries under cool running water and dry them, spreading them out on paper towels.

Then it is necessary to prepare a container for tincture. It needs to be rinsed well with detergent, then rinsed with clean water several times. Then dry it. It can be a glass jar or a bottle with a volume of up to 2 liters.

Put the sorted and washed viburnum berries in a prepared glass container and pour some of the pre-prepared moonshine into it. At the same time, you do not need to pour the entire volume of moonshine into the container at once. Its level should be slightly higher than the level of viburnum. That is, the liquid should completely cover the berries and be a little more on top of them.

Close the container tightly with a lid and put it in a dark place for a day so that the liquid is infused.

After a day, pour the remaining moonshine into a container with viburnum berries. Close tightly again and shake the contents.

Put the container with berries in a dark, cool place. The drink should be infused throughout the month. Once every 5-6 days it needs to be shaken so that the berries rise from the bottom of the container.

After a month, the tincture must be filtered. To do this, you can use gauze folded in several layers, pass a drink through it. The remaining viburnum berries can be squeezed into a tincture to make its taste more saturated. After that, the cake from the berries can be thrown out - it will no longer be needed.

For a better taste, add a little sugar to the already strained drink. Instead of sugar, you can add honey - so the tincture will be even more useful. The strength of the finished drink is approximately 32-24 degrees.

Next, pour the viburnum tincture into bottles and store in a dark, cool place without direct sunlight for 3 years.

Bon appetit and good health!
