Cooking method

Cooking time: 2 h

Put a saucepan with a mixture of water and sugar on the stove. Wash the watermelon, cut into slices, remove the bones and peel, and cut the pulp into cubes 2 by 2 cm.

As soon as the syrup boils, put the watermelon cubes in it. Wait until it boils again, then remove from the heat. Let the compote brew for 30-40 minutes.

In clean sterilized jars, spread out warm pieces of watermelon using a slotted spoon. Return the syrup to the fire and bring to a boil.

Pour hot syrup over jars with pulp, cover with lids and place in a spacious saucepan with water to be sterilized (water should be poured so that it reaches almost to the lids). Sterilize one and a half liter cans for 15 minutes, liter cans for 10 minutes, respectively. Remove the jars and roll them up immediately.

Turn the blanks upside down, wrap them in a blanket and leave them to cool completely, then transfer them to the basement.

Cook with love!
